The most personal form of performance. Preceding this is intensive research on the instrument, drums, and performance art. In this process, I see the drums as an instrument of rhythm, melody, and harmony, and I approach playing with a highly performative approach. My work on a drumsolo record ended with this. It was important to me that everything you hear comes from drums and cymbals. From here my goal was to mix abstract and academic compositional techniques with the brutal Sound of Black Metal, the music I was listening to as a child (and still am).
